Step 1: Build out the Tour Itinerary

Updated over 2 months ago

The first step in using Fieldbook is to create a day-by-day itinerary that serves as the foundation for your tours.

Once your itinerary is ready, Fieldbook automatically generates three key documents:

  • Sales Brochure – for prospective clients

  • Guest Itinerary – for your travellers

  • Guide Itinerary – for your guides and operations team

How to Building Out Your Tour Itinerary

This quick video walks you through the first step in using Fieldbook—building out your tour itinerary.

Step-by-Step: Creating Your Itinerary

  1. Create a Departure

Head to the Departures section and click New Departure to get started.
We recommend selecting the Starter Package when prompted—it’s a pre-filled template designed to help you get up and running quickly.

  2. Add Days to Your Itinerary

Use the drag-and-drop calendar to build out the day-by-day structure of your tour.

  3. Add Itinerary Items

For each day, add items like transfers, meals, activities, and accommodation.

  4. Add Descriptions

Write guest-facing and guide-facing content (e.g. cultural notes, meeting times, packing tips).

  5. Preview Your Documents

Head to the Documents tab to preview your Sales Brochure, Guest Itinerary, and Guide Itinerary.

  6. Make Adjustments

Rearrange, update, or expand your itinerary as needed—it will update across all documents automatically.
